1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Shryftoriz ("we", "our", or "the Extension") handles data when you use our browser extension and the shryftoriz.online website. In short: we collect no personal data, show no ads, and sell nothing.

2. What Data Is Processed

2.1 Font Names

  • The Extension reads the names of fonts used on the page you are viewing
  • To determine a font's origin, these names (and only the names) are sent to our service and checked against the Shryftoriz database
  • Neither the page address nor the page content is sent with the font names

2.2 Anonymous Usage Statistics

  • To understand how the product performs, the Extension sends anonymized usage events: the site's domain, the number of detected fonts per category, clicks on suggested alternatives, and technical errors
  • Within these events we keep an anonymized record of which fonts (by catalog identifier, not the raw font name off the page) appear on which public domains. This is data about public websites, not about you — a site's fonts are visible to anyone who opens it
  • Events include the extension version and contain no personal data: no names, emails, accounts, or device identifiers
  • This data cannot be used to identify you as a person

2.3 Extension Settings

  • Your preferences (such as the auto-show setting) are stored locally in your browser
  • Settings are never transmitted anywhere

3. What We Do NOT Collect

  • No personal data: names, email addresses, passwords, or payment details
  • No full page URLs, page contents, or browsing history
  • No advertising identifiers — the product has no ads and no third-party trackers
  • We do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties

4. How We Use Data

  • Font names — to determine their origin and suggest Ukrainian alternatives
  • Anonymized statistics — to understand how the product is used and to improve it
  • An anonymized "public domain → font" map — to gauge how widely fonts are used, spot sites still using russian fonts, and offer their owners Ukrainian alternatives

5. Data Storage

  • Extension settings live only on your device and are removed together with the extension
  • Anonymized statistics are kept on our servers for a limited time and used only in aggregate form

6. Website Analytics (Umami)

  • On our web pages (shryftoriz.online) we use Umami — a self-hosted, privacy-first analytics tool — to understand aggregate product usage
  • We collect only privacy-friendly usage events (page views, funnel steps, outbound clicks). No tracking cookies are used
  • For signed-in users, we associate these analytics events with the account email address (via WorkOS) solely to understand how the product is used
  • Analytics data is never sold or shared with third parties

7. Your Rights and Choices

  • You can disable or remove the extension at any time — local settings are deleted with it
  • The extension works without registration; no account is required

8. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
