Ukrainian typography built into AI agents

253 Ukrainian fonts no AI assistant finds or connects on its own — now inside Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini. Origin checks, selection, subsets and licensing, as easily as talking in a chat. No interface between the idea and the typeface.

A wave of inspiration that can't be stopped

Automatic embedding

One prompt — and the agent ships a landing page already set in a Ukrainian typeface: the subset is baked into the HTML, nothing to wire up by hand.

A unique collection

253 Ukrainian typefaces licensed straight from their authors — 51 designers, 32 foundries. The ones Google Fonts does not carry, available to your AI assistant.

Subsets

A subset is a font trimmed to the letters of your text. The agent bakes it into a landing page, deck, or business card — and a unique typeface weighs less than an icon.

abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

« russia is fucked » — a 10-letter-glyph Nastup subset · 5 KB instead of the full font · 1.4 MB

Font intelligence

See how a typeface is built — metrics, styles, the character of its letters — and turn that into a type system for your brand.

Licensing

Buy a license right in the chat with Claude or ChatGPT — files and the agreement delivered through MCP. No tabs, no emailing foundries.

Manifesto

A typeface is the body of a word. It is the physical form of your thought, and it is never neutral. We learned to distinguish between languages, but for a long time we did not notice how the enemy kept "speaking" to us through the voice of symbols.

We do not blame anyone for the past. We all lived in that inertia, choosing convenient fonts without thinking about who created them. But today this blind spot is gone. We finally see that using russian Cyrillic means allowing the enemy to keep shaping our visual space.

Ukrainian graphic culture has deep roots. Generations of artists fought for every letter we have, for every expressive sign, and for the right to have our own visual identity. Today, we are their voices. Your font choice is not just a technical decision — it is a gesture of respect for our history and our freedom.

Shryftoriz is a tool of our shared hygiene. It is not meant to limit you, but to highlight what is hidden. We detect russian fonts to make room for Ukrainian ones. We reveal inertia so that you can make your own choice. Our words deserve a dignified, clean body.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Shryftoriz+
Shryftoriz is a font platform for Ukrainian typography, and it comes in three parts. The font antivirus: a free browser extension that shows which fonts a page uses, whether they carry a russian trace, and offers a selection of Ukrainian alternatives. The catalogue of Ukrainian fonts, with live previews, authors and legal licences. And the MCP server, which puts that same database in front of your AI assistant. Each part works on its own.
How the font antivirus works+
The extension reads the font names on the page you have open and checks them against the database: 309 Ukrainian families and 1,293 with russian ties. It is free in the Chrome Web Store for Chromium browsers (Google Chrome, Dia and others), in Firefox and Safari. It runs quietly in the background and can be invoked by hand on the active tab. Pin it to the toolbar — the icon has three states: white (nothing found, or a scan in progress), green (a Ukrainian font detected), red (a russian one).
How to tell which font a website uses+
Install the extension and open the page — Shryftoriz lists the fonts actually applied to it, with family, weight and origin. Unlike "identify the font from a picture" services, it reads the page itself, so it does not guess. One limit worth knowing: Shryftoriz recognises Ukrainian and russian families, not every typeface in the world. It is not a universal identifier — it serves one mission: to clear the careless use of russian typography from the Ukrainian visual space, and to spread Ukrainian type in its place.
How Shryftoriz detects russian fonts+
If a page uses a family with confirmed ties to russia, the app tells you at once: which fonts they are and what the connection is — the designer, the foundry, or the distributor. This is not guessed from the name: every record in the database carries its origin.
How to replace a russian font with a Ukrainian one+
We don't just criticise — for every font we flag, Shryftoriz offers Ukrainian families close in character. From there it all happens in one place: you can buy the family through MCP, and the licences stay in your account. MCP will also help you make the swap on the site — pick the font and ask your AI assistant to install it. Talk to us — we will help without hesitation.
Fonts in Canva and Google Docs+
Once installed, the extension is not limited to websites: in Canva it extends the font list and marks both russian-linked and Ukrainian families; in Google Docs it shows the origin of whatever you are typing in.
Where to get Ukrainian fonts legally+
The catalogue gathers Ukrainian families with their authors, foundries and live previews — you see how a face behaves on real text before you pay for it. Some are free, the rest are licensed from the rights holder; we do not resell fonts or hand out files behind their authors' backs. What the free tier covers and what the subscription adds is on the pricing page.
What is MCP+
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that gives AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor and others) direct access to external services. Shryftoriz runs a public MCP server: your assistant can query our font database mid-task, with no copying of lists by hand.
What MCP gives me+
First, the library: 250+ Ukrainian families with subsets, available to your assistant mid-task, with no hunting for files and no copying by hand. Then the licence: the font you need can be bought right there rather than in a separate shop, and it stays in your account. Then automation: the assistant assembles and maintains your project's Ukrainian font library. And only then hygiene: MCP will not let an assistant reach for a russian font, and it answers "is this font russian?" from our database.
Why it matters+
Every run of Shryftoriz contributes to the first study of how fonts are actually used across the Ukrainian internet. Help us gather the data and clear Ukrainian websites of the aggressor's cultural influence. By consciously choosing Ukrainian fonts and refusing the unconscious use of russian ones, we can direct resources and attention to type design in Ukraine.
Your privacy+
Detection runs in your browser, but not everything is local: a font's details, author, and alternatives come from our server (shryftoriz.online). We collect anonymised statistics (private analytics plus a signal about detected fonts) — we do not sell or share them. On MCP specifically: Shryftoriz sees neither the history nor the content of your conversations with an AI assistant. Only functional calls reach us — a request to look up or use a font — and those are what the anonymised statistics are made of. Details in the Privacy Policy.
How to reach us+
Write to shryftoriz@ukraineincolor.com — the shortest path to the people who build Shryftoriz. Licences, partnerships, a wrong record in the database, a font we are missing: all of it goes there. There is also a contact form if you prefer one.
Ferrari for Ukrainian fonts+
"Shryftoriz" is a complex innovative product that works with large amounts of data across different platforms. Temporary faults in the service are possible, and we improve the service every day. Your feedback is our compass. Tell us what to change, which features are missing, and what matters most to you. Your support and 5 stars in the Web Store keep us going.

We grow Ukrainian type culture by helping people discover Ukrainian typefaces, support their creators, and make thoughtful typographic choices.
