Infrastructure for Ukrainian typography.
Shryftoriz helps people discover Ukrainian typefaces, understand where fonts come from, make informed choices, and support the people who create our visual language.
We started with a browser extension that recognises fonts on websites. Today Shryftoriz brings together a catalogue, a scanner, recommendations, live font previews, and an MCP server for AI agents.

This project began as an experiment in 2025, and became possible thanks to expertise, engineering, design, honest criticism, and the community that resonated with it in 2026, backed it in numbers, and keeps using it.
The people who made it: Andrii Sukhariev — author of the idea and technical implementation, Ukraine in Color NGO. Yevhen Sadko, founder of Rentafont — co-author of the idea and type expert; provided the fonts and the team that built the Rentafont integration. Anastasiia Shyshenok — created the identity and the logo, helped bring the focus onto the real state of the industry, and wrote the first manifesto. Vitalii Kravchenko — built the Rentafont API integration. Chris Averyano — help with the site in its early stages and web-design guidance. And the community around the world that uses Shryftoriz, leaves reviews and comments, turns away from everything russian, and supports Ukraine and the Ukrainian designers who keep creating our visual culture.
