Ambulatoria A is the first of four sets in Oleh Lishchuk’s superfamily, released by Pepper Type and Mint Type in 2022. Ambulatoria combines a sturdy construction with open apertures, while the A, B, C, and D sets offer alternate forms for selected glyphs so designers can change the character and texture of a composition. Set A contains ten weights from Thin to Heavy with matching italics—20 styles in total—while the whole superfamily contains 80. Pan-European Latin and Cyrillic support and reliable performance at both large and small sizes make it a versatile tool for editorial systems, interfaces, wayfinding, identity, and everyday communication.
