1812 Year
A decorative serif for covers, posters, certificates, and short ceremonial texts.
1812 Year is a 14-style decorative family created by Viktor Kharyk and Konstantin Golovchenko at Apostrof in 2020. It revives and expands the ornamented 1812 typeface from the Lehmann foundry in Saint Petersburg: the contemporary Ukrainian authors added lowercase letters, extended Latin and Cyrillic, and a system of decorative styles. Its historical source is russian; the contemporary digital family was created by Ukrainian designers. It works best on covers, posters, invitations, packaging, certificates, and other short display settings.
